WIP Challenge: Tuesday (Day 27)

Good morning, everybody!  We're at five days and counting (well, as I type this, from my time zone, that is) to the end of the month, and for some that means frantically rushing to meet deadlines, whether self-imposed or as part of a challenge.

So, how do you keep track of word count?  Do you have a super-awesome spreadsheet?  Do you look back at archives?  Kind of estimate?

I finished and posted a new ~2300-word chapter of "Impulse"; it's only taken me ~12,000 words to get to the sexytiems. I hope my readers are pleased! :)

As for word counts, Scrivener posts a count at the bottom of each document, so with a bit of basic bookkeeping I can keep track of how many words I produce each day. Today it was around 1500.

OMG. I just downloaded a trial of Scrivener tonight. I might be in love. My word count was low today in part because I was getting everything plugged in to it. :)

*nods* I do the same with Microsoft Word - how do you like Scrivener, outside of the word count feature?

I absolutely adore Scrivener: it's by far the best WP program I've ever used, and contains just about every feature I could ask for. Nowadays I don't use anything else.
