Check-In Time!  Let's swing by a share what we've done today:

-Research?
-Writing?
-Posting?
-Celebrating?
-Staring anxiously at a deadline and/or empty document?

Today's discussion also invites PICTURES.
Where do you write?  Do you have a special space?  Can you write anywhere/everywhere?  Do you require absolute calm?  Share pics if you want!

I write a 3K fic, which's inspired by the little Red Riding Hood. Fun to write, but I don't know whether I should keep it in my figurative drawer.

I usually write everywhere I can access Gdoc. Environment doesn't affect me much.

This week has been kind of a bust for writing, but I don't feel too bad. I accomplished one of my goals for the month, so I feel like I can relax a bit! Even so, I hope to get some writing time in today at some point, if my housework will allow it.

These days I pretty much only write at my computer. I used to be able to write long hand if I was mobile, and bring my work to the computer to type it up, but that's working less well lately. I still use that method for ideas and snatches of conversation, but I compose best with my keyboard. I use Jarte for this, and I also have it on my flash drive, which I take with me everywhere. So I can sometimes get some writing in when I'm at work during slow periods. My computer is a laptop, so I can usually write anywhere it happens to be set up (though lately I'm tied to my desk because the laptop is tied to an external monitor and an outlet until the screen and battery get replaced!). I don't require absolute calm, but it helps. I can't write if there's a TV running in the room, though.

Posted last night. Gonna do a bit of work on one of my big fics tonight before new ep of TGW.

I have 2 places. Outside writing space and inside writing space. I can pretty much write anywhere. Calm and quiet stifles me but I think it's because I'm so used to chaos and noise.

This whole week has sucked for several RL reasons, but maybe I can start crawling out (in part b/c the thing I have been dreading has happened: one of our cats died last night). I don't know.

I just write at my computer desk; my hand is too jacked up from bad ergonomics for years to do much serious writing by hand. I usually write w/music. I like to edit hard copies, & doing so on trains is a favorite way to do it.

I can't believe it, but I actually managed to get about 1200 words written today in spite of crushing depression. (I didn't get anything else done, like work, but it's, well, something.)

I write where I work, at the iMac in our home studio (24" screen FTW!), or on our Macbook Pro laptop in coffee shops and libraries. Consequently, I'm not going to post a picture of my working space because it looks like a nuclear bomb hit it, and I have no pics of the laptop writing locations, so... yeah. I can write just about anywhere, even in the presence of a TV screen (my studio location has a TV facing it less than five feet away); the only thing that really inhibits me is the possibility of people reading over my shoulder while I work, because dude, I just can't stand that. Ugh!

Well, it's not empty, but it's not complete. My brain is shutting down right when I need it.

I write wherever. As long as I got something to write on, and if I can remember what I'm writing, I'm okay.

Got some of my [community profile] god_tier fic edited before I went to work, mostly to see if I need to change description and fix the dialogue a bit. I'll be editing a bit more later tonight

I have an old desktop computer in my room that I use to write most of my stories. I used to have a laptop and I would write anywhere in my house, lol.

Thanks to the allmighty powers of Scrivener, I HAVE AN OUTLINE for the Giant Sex Drugs and Rock & Roll Sherlock AU of Doom. Ten chapters, a story arc. Whoa. I feel accomplished even though there's not much in the way of word count.

I write on my couch with my laptop. It's very comfy. :)

1500 words which I am rather gobsmacked at as it was only supposed to be a relatively quick scene. And that's only half done. Huh. I've reached that rather zen state about how much has to be done in so little time.
