Another day has come and gone, so now it's time to check in.
How many new words did you write today? Did you reach your goal? Were you editing instead? Researching? Or was today a day of rest?

One Two Fiver is a series of stretches for warming up your writing muscles when you're really blocked.
Start with a single word - type it like you mean it.
Now write two words.
Move on to five...
Repeat and repeat until you are writing. \o/
Feel free to post your results here if you wish (or link us to them).

Date: Tuesday, April 24th, 2012 05:50 (UTC)But, ugh. I am at that stage where I have just worked on this particular part of my story for so long that it's like... why are these characters even here any more? Why are they doing this? Clearly this situation is important to them, but at this point everything just seems so silly and ridiculous and nothing seems to make sense. Maybe that's a sign that I need to work on something else for awhile or find some way to switch things up. I don't know. In the meantime, I'll just be telling myself that every word I type up means I'm one word closer to finishing, which seems to be enough to keep me going for the time being.
