For discussion: Do you chat about fic with online or offline frends or both?

Not much writing, but I've been looking over my notes for various fics and trying to decide what to concentrate on this month. So that's something ^^;

Finally posted the WIP I spent this month completing!

I'll occasionally chat about fic with both sets of friends, though I've been spending more time discussing certain current fandoms with offline friends since I haven't been around online as much. I'm hoping to get at least one online friend participating in [community profile] parallelsfic with me, so we can commiserate on the writing process.

I wrote about 2,600 words this past week. I was hoping to add to it, but it hasn't happened yet. But it will!

Most of my fic chatting is done with online friends, but offline I have my son to talk to -- we both are working on fic-writing, so our talks are mutually beneficial!

Writing a new short fic and so far have 600 words on it. It's a bit fragmented at the moment as I wrote the lines out of order, so I'll pull them together somehow. Oh and it's smut, thus me saying smut is hard. XD

I talk fic to my online friends. Some friends I talk in chatrooms and Skype while some through email, forums, and LJ/DW. I have two online friends who like to joke around wanting me to write smut crackfic since they read a couple of my porn fics, LOL.

I spent most of the last few weeks not writing fic at all, b/c I was on vacation & then... recovering from vacation. XD So this past week I dipped my toe back in. I still feel like I'm missing the drive to write fic that I had earlier this year, but... maybe trudging through & keeping on will help me slide back into it.

Got some done but nothing posted, which was my goal. But it was a busy week since yesterday was my best friend's wedding so I think I can live with not hitting the writing goal ^_^

Primarily online, but occasionally with a couple of local fanfiction writers offline... and at next year's Keycon I hope to run a panel about "Fan Fiction vs. 'Real' Fiction", which will deal with the pros and cons of each and the occasional war between the two factions. If I can squeeze a second hour out of Programming I'd also like to run a late-night panel about slash fiction in the adults-only track, which will probably be called "Slash Fiction: Bending Canon since Kirk/Spock". :)

Urgh, not enough coffee yet... in answer to the poll, I wrote 5000+ words this week and posted three new stories.
