This is my second attempt to post this ._.
Attention! Due to computer issues I may not be able to fulfil my duties this week. If someone else wants to take over that would be awesome.
Now, what have you been doing today? Did you make progress with your stories (any kind of progress), or did you take a break to do something else?
Discussion: Are your projects properly backed up? Have you ever lost one to hard drive failure? (Mine are fine, thank you.)

Date: Tuesday, June 5th, 2012 22:15 (UTC)As for progress, I have spent the day noodling on the internet and working on a challenge I'm co-running. There needs to be writing, but it might be later.

Date: Tuesday, June 5th, 2012 23:14 (UTC)Did nothing yesterday (in my timezone) but I was in Inverness all day and haven't been home long. I'm taking today as it comes as I've more travel planned. I will be finding some time to post more new fic this week though, I want them off my USB and on my comm.
I've not had a hard-drive fail (yet *knock wood*) but I have had a USB fail where I've saved my work and tried opening the file later only to get the dreaded file corrupted message. Now I save all my fic on 3 file formats just in case that happens again.

Date: Wednesday, June 6th, 2012 03:42 (UTC)I was once in the middle of a project when my computer hard drive started to go, but since it was going slowly, I was able to back it up what I needed in time. I also had a huge fright once when my computer was scrambled but all my data was recovered, whew! Since then, I've installed a back up program and save all my projects in several different places, so as to avoid any future scares or losses.

Date: Wednesday, June 6th, 2012 04:30 (UTC)I've never had any catastrophic loss of data, but that's more because I've always been so paranoid about it that I've got anything of any true importance backed up on my hotmail skydrive.

Date: Wednesday, June 6th, 2012 04:44 (UTC)I usually back my stories up either in my flashdrive or Dropbox. LOL just recently the hard drive from my old computer burned out, but luckily I have my work saved in my flashdrive and Dropbox so I didn't lose any of my WIP stories.
