Yay for computer fix!

I didn't write like I'd hoped today. I spent the morning bawling over Ray Bradbury passing, and then the afternoon searching for an irreplaceable source book that I've managed to lose in the time since I got it out of the basement earlier this year. (Well, I could replace it, but I don't have $140 at the moment.) I did get a few chapters posted to AO3 in spite of the unholy lag, so there's that.

ETA: after 3hrs+ searching the entire house. My partner put it away and forgot he'd done it... in an unmarked box in the wrong part of the basement after swearing he hadn't touched it.

Oh, I'm glad the book turned up! That'd be a lot of money to spend on something you already have :)

I'm slacking off already! I haven't touched any of my projects for two days, because I'm too busy reading comics. I'll get on it tomorrow >_>

Hooray mended computer!

I ironed out a minor plot point that's been bothering me for months! (On a fic that's due on Monday and isn't nearly done yet. Oops.) This is cause for much rejoicing, as I am not any kind of plotter.

I haven't written a thing in the past few days -- and worse yet, I haven't had any desire to write, which is both unusual and worrisome. Part of it is surely the stress related to a murderous paying project deadline, and some of it is probably hormonal (damned Aunt Flow!)... but I'm feeling very shabby and incompetent at the moment, and experiencing a distinct lack of reader-to-writer love. :(

As for the discussion topic, it's probably my training writing university papers kicking in, but I tend to stick to outlines. If I have a wildly differing idea I'll usually take it to a whole new fic.

Sorry to hear you're feeling shabby :( I hope it's only a temporary slump, and that you'll get your inspiration back soon!

I got 700 words written but it was like pulling teeth! I'm hoping for an easier time this evening as I write more, and try to keep from falling asleep in the process. ;-) Not that my fic is boring, I'm just sleepy!

I definitely have extensive outlines, but I don't tend to diverge from them -- unless it's to decide that I don't want to write so much and I skip right over entire scenes I thought at one time were important! :-)

The Flamingo nails it a usual. :D All right, maybe it's more like five paragraphs in; but I'm pretty familiar by now with having story plan, starting to type, and then looking up from the word-daze to realise I've completely departed from what I'd been aiming for!

Edited and turned in the short fic to my beta, then she was able to email me back her comments fairly quickly and I made the changes. The story is save for a special fandom occasion of sorts, so I have to wait until Monday to post it. XD

I would write extensive outlines for some of my stories, only for the story to change on a totally different direction haha.

I finished cleaning up my new short fic story and decided to put it up. :> It feels good to have a new story exposed for everyone to read. And also got 500 words typed down for the last chapter of one of my fics, and finished the 13th chapter of my other multi-chaptered fic. :D I've got a lot of things done, but I'm still far of to finishing all of them. xD

I sometimes write extensive outlines, but I tend not to do so, or else, I'll prolly jump into writing the full version of the fic already lol.
