I've had fun with art/writing collaborations, but I can't imagine collaborating with another writer in an in-depth way - I am far too much of a control freak.
I wrote a few more paragraphs but have been messing around with other things most of the afternoon instead of writing. I've still got the evening. My husband and daughter are going out to a school function, so I'll have the opportunity to focus.
Outside of rp, I haven't collaborated. I like the idea of it because there are things I'm not very good at writing, and it would be nice to work with someone who had those skills. I've heard horror stories, though, and am wary of wrecking a friendship with an attempt to collaborate that doesn't work.
I successfully met my goal for the month, before the deadline even, so I'm happy. Had to go back and fix a few silly mistakes in the writing after posting, but otherwise it turned out pretty well. Now I'm trying to figure out what my next writing project should be!
I usually stick to my own projects, but I did collaborate once for something called a Fanfic Tumble, a kind of round robin writing exercise where we had a number of different stories that all started off the same and the diverged after that. Each author had to pick up where another author left off and make the each story work. It was quite fun, actually, and one had to be really creative to keep the stories flowing, but it was definitely fun.
This week has been crammed full of me being social and stuff, so not much writing. BUT! I have my weekend cleared for just that, so here's hoping I make some good progress. :)
I haven't collaborated on fanfic yet, but one of my betas and I have one in the works after I finish my current WIP.
