I wrote and posted something today, so you'd think I would be pretty happy with how things are going... but I'm failing really hard at getting words down for my word count goal (500 words a day for a specific WIP). I'm languishing at around the halfway mark. Hopefully I can turn things around tonight.

My favorite thing/resource I've discovered through this community, hands down, is Written Kitten. :D

Today, I slept. I was short on sleep from Monday and Tuesday, so I needed it, but I slept longer than I expected.

At least, I've named the OC I need for this story and have started thinking about what to write. Who knows where it will go?

I... wrote some seriously cracky-crack that I would link to, but explaining it would take longer than the actual fic did to write. :) Now I'm settling in to write for 'real'. :)

Honestly, I think this community is my favorite resource. It's been nice getting to know people, finding out what other people work on and in what fandoms.

Today I plotted. It was good. I had started a story with a nifty concept, and then...it ended up going a bit where I didn't intend, and I need to write another part, and that meant actually figuring out why everybody was in danger in the first part, not just writing all the fun banter and fighting! Ah, the noggin. ;)

I really should get to plotting sometime soon before this meandering draft gets too far off course.

I started work on a R&I one shot that wouldn't leave me alone, hopefully I can get it finished this afternoon. I did some research on two phobias which I only knew a little about from my psychology books and I also researched some things about chess rules, moves and strategy (utterly confused by it - I never played it.)

The comm as a whole has been really useful. I discovered AO3 through here too.

I'm running away from writing at the moment, but I'm hoping I'll stop running when the weekend comes. ;-)

My favorite resource discovered here is Jarte. I love it! It works on my computer and my flashdrive, and I hardly look at Google Docs anymore. I introduced my son to it, too, and he is now a Jarte fan.
