Today's discussion question: how do you keep track of your word counts? Obsessively or not at all?

I generally only track my word count if I have a target, either a minimum length for the story or a daily word count goal. Sometimes, seeing the words add up helps me keep going.

Hardly at all. I check them when I'm done writing, sometimes. But mostly I forget.

I used all my prompts for this round of prompt_in_a_box and I'm happy about that. I did some more work on a chaptered R&I Maura/Tommy fic. I also signed up for summer mini challenge too.

I only check word count when I have a limit to reach. When I don't have a limit I only look at it when I'm finished.
