It's the last day of June. How did you get on with your goals this month (if you set any). How was the month overall for your writing?

I outlined and summarized the last two chapters of Pull the Stars from the Sky this afternoon. WHEEEEEEE! Now I just have to write them. My guess is I'll top out at around 60,000 words. Whew. Longest thing I've written in a very very long time.

My goal for the month was to finish this story, but I came shy of it, because the last chapter was an absolute bear. I think it's been a great month overall though, I've stayed focused, and I kept pushing and I finally managed to post it. :)

This month, I finished and posted the story that was due last Sunday. I've just barely started the story that's due at the end of this month. There were a lot of days when I didn't manage any new words, but somehow it got done.

This is getting really old, but I failed again. This month my goal was to post a chapter or one-shot even if I'm not trilled with it... but then I failed so hard at actually writing anything that I have nothing coherent enough to post as a chapter, thrilling or otherwise. So apparently promises don't work either, because I have no discipline whatsoever.

I was going to beat myself up over it, but then a friend declared that my punishment is to drink tea and think about what I've done. And I did! So here's what I've done:

• Got slightly further in planning the manga based Yu-Gi-Oh fic I intended to finish.
• Worked on character backgrounds, relationships and some potential scenes for the Yu-Gi-Oh AU that ate my brain.
• Got a few ideas that might help sort out the plot of another AU.
• Shuffled some words around in the draft of a post-series Princess Tutu fic.

I have nothing to show for it, but stuff happened. And I guess that's good enough.
