First off, you've written Farscape and Edward II, so that automatically makes you pretty darn cool in my book! (Those two, by the way, are the ones I read, for I sadly know absolutely nothing about Final Fantasy. Sorry!)

I really, really liked A Fine Ever After -- your Isabella was wonderful, Ned and Piers both read like the ages that they are, and you've got a talent for capturing emotionally intense moments with just the right number of words, if that makes any sense. And that comes out especially well in the Aeryn five times fic -- there's a sparseness, an economy of language, that suits Aeryn very well indeed.

So. Yes, indeed, be reassured of your own capability!

It's important to me that my stories are emotionally satisfying, so it's great that A Fine Ever After was satisfactory to you in that sense, and that the characters turned out right. Economy of language and words is also something that I try to pay attention to in my writing, so I'm especially glad that worked for you. Thank you!

Hope you don't mind the spam, but I checked out your FFVII pieces and found them stunning, in a nearly literal sense. There's a darkness to both that goes beyond what I expected, but not in a gratuitous way - just unexpected, and having a greater impact because of it.

If this is spam then it's the best spam I've ever had, thank you so much! I dealing with dark elements in stories, and if I do that as a writer it's important for me to do it non-gratuitously because like you said, it' more effective that way. I'm glad these two pieces worked for you.
