Yesterday, "don't ask" was the most popular option in the poll. What happens when you have a "don't ask" day? Do you get discouraged and mope for several days (or months)? Or do you think that tomorrow is a new day and face it optimistically?

I take each day as a new opportunity. I have to, or I'd never get anything done. Today was eaten up by taking my daughter to the doctor (annual well child visit, nothing to be concerned about). I might still manage some writing, but I'm not holding my breath.

I wrote! Well, scribbled is actually more like what I did. I scribbled a couple of paragraphs during a lecture and it might be just what I need to get the ball rolling on a chapter that's been giving me trouble. I have to type it up and see if it actually amounts to anything, but I'm optimistic.

Speaking of which, I am generally quite optimistic, and see every day as a new chance to make some writing progress. ;-) So "don't ask" days don't get me down for long.

I foolishly decided to sit down and do some betaing before tackling my own writing today. Cue much flailing around, trying to find the right way to fix things (because I am decidedly not a good beta). At this point if I can just get through editing this one scene and get my writing done, I think I'll be ecstatic.

I wrote another 320 words for the first chapter of my goal fic yesterday evening, bringing my current total to 1120 with more to write before I can be happy and start working on chapter 2. I also finished typing all my episode notes for it too.

When I have "don't ask" days I will usually do something else or if I'm not too frustrated with my writing I'll write a couple of never to be posted drabbles to try and push through it.
