How did your writing go today? 

Today's discussion topic: How do you cope with everyday distractions, especially when leaving the house and tucking yourself away in a cafe/library isn't an option?

I write 2000 words today.
I try to write in a time that nothing urgent call on me. Luckily I'm very good at forgetting about the world when I focused.

I often try to write later in the evening, since I seem to have more energy/creative focus after dinner and up through about midnight or so. Usually, I try to get everything for the day done before then, so I can go hide in my bedroom or wherever and try to knock out at least a portion of what I'm working on.
