I almost forgot to post today :D So, how's it going? Everything moving along, or are you taking it easy?

Are there characters you'd love to read more about, but can't find any fics that handle them the way you'd like?

I didn't get any new writing done today, but I fixed up an old thing and gave it a new face in order to fulfill a challenge that's due tomorrow. So that was encouraging.

Yes!!! And it's very irritating to never find any fics that satisfy me. I continue to search and be disappointed. I will probably have to write them myself, but I simply cannot add another WIP or two at this point. Even so, I've toyed with ideas and made notes... ;-)

I wrote a whole fanfic today, from start to finish! And posted it! GO MEEEEEEEE!!

Why yes. In ff.net's Bionicle section, for example, there are a grand total of two Kiina/Mata Nui fics and they're both godawful in how completely they ignore canon. I'd be over there fixing that if a decent canon-compliant plot bunny would hop into my brain, but it's rather harder for me to write an asexual aromantic (hullo Mata Nui!) than it is to write a pair of siblings overcoming their issues (Kiina and Berix, the basic plot of my first posted 'fic) or two wallflowers being cotton-candy sweet as they become friends (Hahli and Kopeke, the basic plot of the 'fic I posted an hour and a half ago whoooooooo~), mostly because I've been in a sibling grudgemess and I've been a wallflower but I am most certainly not an asexual aromantic. -sigh-

I only added 200 words to my big bang but I was feeling grotty and I did manage to organise the scenes for the first half of this section so it wasn't such a write off.

I've been getting some pretty steady writing done lately, which makes me happy, even if I'm still struggling to shape the chapter of my WIP that I'm supposed to be working on. At least I'm writing something!

In one of my fandoms, about half the stories have my favorite character as being dead (because the actress who played her died), and the rest typically just don't include her at all, and if they do it's just as a one-dimensional background character. The fandom is almost 20 years old, but there's only a tiny handful of stories that include her as a main character in any way. SO FRUSTRATING.

I started a oneshot while I was watching the R&I summer finale yesterday, hopefully I can get it finished/posted by Sunday or Monday. I also finished my summer mini challenge too, just need to post them and update the prompt table, maybe even post them on AO3 too.

Yes. There are so many characters that just don't get the love they deserve from the fandom (generally speaking). My main fandom just now is Rizzoli & Isles and there are hardly any fics with Tommy or Maura/Tommy but I do like to them as a ship.
