How's the fic on this fine Tuesday, fellow challenge writers? How are you guys feeling about what you're working on?

I wrote 800-ish words of a totally random fic inspired by a nonfiction book I'm reading (it's about "modern girls"--flappers, etc. around the '20s--in different countries around the world). I don't know if it will ever be workable, & it needs serious fact-checking & stuff, but I like that the idea just sprang up!

Also mega props to me for writing even that much, b/c right before I went to 750 Words to write, I got an e-mail from my mom saying that my aunt probably has a brain tumor. ;_;

So, uh, that's me for today!

Mega props, indeed -- that is truly awful and scary news to get. All my best to you and your family.

Well, what started out as a nice quiet day of fact-checking and editing turned into a sudden burst of inspiration for the couple of scenes of this thing that I've been absolutely dreading writing. So, yay for a bunch of unexpected words, but I have to admit to being a little shaky now that I've killed off my main characters.

5100 words today, and I finished the story. I felt fed up with it, and dread editting.
