Sorry this is so late. I've been in and out of the house all day today and simply lost track of needing to post. (On the plus side, my dentist said I have no cavities, and I did manage to fit in lunch between commitments.)

So how has the writing been going?

Did you write?
Edit?
Research?
Plan?
Send to beta?
Take a break?
Deal with other life things?

How do you feel about your writing today?

I'm feeling pretty good about my writing. I haven't done any yet today, but I got back in the swing of things yesterday, writing about 200 words and planning a bit more. I have time yet today. My husband and daughter will be going to bed about an hour and a half before I do. I'm determined to write then.

Discussion question-- What sort of point of view do you prefer to use? Do you ever get well into a story and then realize that it would work better in first person or third person omniscient or something other than what you've been doing?

I tend to use third person limited, maintaining a strong focus on one character throughout the scene. I've done some first person, too, just a lot less of it. I often find myself getting stuck on a scene and then realizing that I should be writing it from a different character's point of view or in first person. It's gotten so that one of the things I try when I'm stuck is switching to a different character's point of view.
