When you write do you write linearly, from point A to point B to point C, or do you skip around and write bits from different parts of the story out of order?
I a linear writer. I very rarely write out of order. I think a big part of it is that, until I get there, I seldom know for sure what's going to happen. The one exception is that I've drafted the final chapter of my long WIP, Rheotaxis. When I get to that point, the draft will probably get gutted and rewritten from scratch, but I wanted to know what I was aiming for.
