Do you have a specific place where you like to write? What about it works for you?
I used to like to write at a desk in our basement. It was relatively distraction free, and I felt like all I did there was write, so going there signaled that it was time to start. That space hasn't been available for a while. Our basement is a mess. The desk is piled high with books and papers, and there's no way to get the chair close to the desk. Now, I write in our living room. The downside to that is that there are more distractions. It's more physically comfortable, but it's where I spend most of my waking hours, so I have to work harder to get myself to start writing.
