Why haven't I finished it? Your fanfic flamingo says it all. This simple confrontation between Dracula and the Masked One, it is soo near and yet somehow I don't manage to get there.

I once sat down to write a drabble, and three hours later I surfaced with a 2K fic that later launched its own fic series. If the new plot seems to be a natural outgrowth of the main story, I'll leave it as it stands, but if it feels like I'm just padding out text or writing out waffle because I'm afraid of getting to the more difficult bits later on, I'll talk with someone else and see about trimming it down.
