Looking for another mod or two

Hi everyone -- due to a combination of personal things, I find myself having less & less time to devote to this community. Which is sad! I've gotten so much writing done through this group, & met so many fabulous people -- I think we could keep doing great stuff, & even more great stuff, but I'm not at the point where I can keep shepherding it along myself.

Is anyone interested in co-modding the comm with me? Having one or two more people would be really useful -- I think the main thing right now is coordinating the WIP challenge (finding people to do check-in posts, & reminding them when their week is up, posting sign-ups, etc.), but also if people wanted to run regular writing sessions or... do any other sort of group activity, that would be fabulous.

Thanks for being here, everyone -- every time someone says that they've found something here useful, it makes me really happy! I hope we can keep on making this a useful, encouraging space for us fic writers.

I might have time to help out. What exactly is involved? Most of my free time is weekdays, between about 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. (In other words, while my daughter's at school and my husband's at work). I can probably make time on weekends and when school's out, if I don't need a lot of concentrated time.

Thank you for asking! I think most of it can be done here & there whenever there's a moment -- it would be things like checking the current sign-ups for the WIP challenge & figuring out if there are gaps in volunteers for check-in posts (& then posting asking for volunteers), or getting back to people who've volunteered, sending out a reminder PM the day before their check-in days start, etc.

I think w/more mods there would be a bit of coordination, but that could be solved by someone (eg. me) putting up a mods-only post every month for mods to figure out who will be coordinating the next month's WIP challenge, etc.

That sounds do-able. I might need some hand holding as I get going. I've never done anything quite like this before, and I get anxious. I suppose I could put reminders into my iCal so that I know what needs to be done when.
