WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 9 -- Tuesday

Tuesday has come and it's another day to share about your writing or lack thereof.  How are things today?

Did you write?

If yes, what kind of writerly activity did you engage in?  If no, what were the obstacles/situations that affected your writerly pursuits?

For Discussion:  This is a common theme here in our discussions, but since I fell into the "playing a game instead of writing" trap yesterday, we're going to discuss it again.  ;-)  How are you with time management when it comes to writing?  Do you struggle with distractions like computer games or something else?  What's your favorite soothing distraction that you turn to when it just seems like too much work to concentrate on writing?

I should have some writing time later on in the day, hopefully I won't be too tired to make myself write, or I'll definitely turn to that pesky computer game that took over my life yesterday! :-D

My favorite distractions when I can't convince myself to write are a couple of computer games, reading other people's writing, reading articles about my favorite sports team and editing my own stuff that's already been written and posted but I can't keep myself from tweaking it (I excuse myself by saying I'm posting it at Ao3 and editing it for the "final version"). As you can see, I keep busy, but at the end of the day, writing doesn't happen.

Yes, I wrote.

Internet surfing is my bane - always mail to check, pages to update. This is why date-dependent challenges etc are a good thing for me.

I wrote 1100 words on fic and a blog on attempting nano. I also posted, if blogs count. I'd stay up a little longer and write more but I won't.

Usually youtube and facebook. I hardly use facebook so when I need a distraction I log in for a bit. Me and time management do not get along because I always end up with less time than I first thought.

I... transferred. I wrote yesterday then took that and typed it up for my story. And added a small bit.

Distractions? Yeah, got plenty of those. I read others fanfic, FB, staring into space, pondering ideas, planning crimes, creating an AU....

Emailed the first three parts of my reverse Big Bang to my beta and worked a bit more on the next part. Up to the 4,000 word mark on the story, already close to the required 5,00 words. D:

I am easily distracted, haha. I tend to read other people's work, DW/LJ, Tumblr, Twitter, and checking emails.
