For discussion today, I'm bringing out an old favorite (or at least -- it's a favorite of mine XD ). Let's talk about procrastination! What's the last thing you did in order to avoid working on your fic? Are there certain things that are reliable procrastination techniques for you? Does putting off writing ever get you to cross other things off your to-do list (productive procrastination)? Are you good at procrastinating? Good at avoiding procrastinating?

Bit of a crappy day writing wise, there is tomorrow for better.

My levels of procrastination vary, I usually lurk on facebook as I hardly use it. I moved house last week and as much as proscratinating would have helped me then it didn't because I àctually wanted to write and I'd packed my laptop, tablet and all my notepads so I had to keep it in my head, thankfully I got a few things down once everything had settled down.

I RP. And I've just started making my first-ever fanvid. Both of them are pretty good procrastination techniques (the vid more than anything because it meant figuring out what software I needed, as well as how to actually do anything...)

I am hoping to finish a fic, and to write another, in the next few weeks, though.

I sent a chapter to the betas on Saturday night. When that happens, I usually need a couple of days to relax before I start plotting out the next bit. Did my outline today which is (glances at paper next to monitor)... 19 words. But probably the most important 19 words for the next week or so!

I tend to procratinate most when I know that there's a scene coming up that I find challenging to write. Action scenes. Scenes that require a lot of research and that I'm still not positive I got right (or scenes that I've had to ask an expert for assistance with). When that happens, I start playing Zynga games on Facebook. Or I read. Or I harass my experts. Or look to see if there's something to beta—even if the person who sent it told me there was no rush.

I am good at procastrinating. What I do varies but yeah, my biggest problem, apart from headaches.
