Sorry - later than usual. Awful day today ...
So did you ...
... write?
... edit?
... researched?
... procrastinated?
... slammed your head on your keyboard several times?
... did something else?

Do you tend to explain every twist or detail or do you prefer to leave things out, thinking that the reader should either conclude it from the other information or if not that it is probably not relevant for the plot?

Date: Thursday, November 22nd, 2012 05:14 (UTC)I skip some things so as not to get bogged down in details. In particular, I skip events that readers probably know about from canon already, because I don't need to go over old ground. I figure the reader should be able to figure out some things without having it spelled out all the time. ;-)
