WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 2 -- Sunday

Greetings, fellow writers!  linaewen here, to serve as your writing encouragement person for the week.  :-D

It's a fresh new month of writing challenge, full of possibilities, so let's start things off nicely with a quote that strikes a chord with me whenever I see it:

Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart. ~ William Wordsworth

With this thought in mind, how is writing going for you today?  Are you having a day filled with setting the breathings of your heart to paper and all the excitement that comes with that flowing of words?  Or is it more a day of getting ready to listen to those words, through research and outlines?  Are you staring at the blank page, unable to figure out how to start explaining what your heart wants to say?

Let us know what kind of writing day it is for you today, and maybe by sharing, it will encourage you to write more, plan better or break the wall that's holding you back!

Today I'm writing a set of six short fics on the theme of "never and forever", entitled "Six Complicated Situations". Thus far I've written the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (Garak/Bashir), A.I.: Artificial Intelligence (Professor Hobby/Gigolo Joe), and Real Ghostbusters (Peter/Egon) segments, for a total of around 1800 words. With any luck I'll get the other three stories finished today as well.

The words are flowing well, in other words, although I have no idea how to approach one of the upcoming tales (the ReBoot fic). Perhaps I'll just start writing it and see what comes out! :)

I've been working on Twice Unjust, my big Taggart fic today. I've written the epilogue and 2 new chapters since I got up.

Today has been quite good for me and I still have a few hours to get some more done. The only downside was getting a bit confused with my new chapter order because I've merged several short chapters and gone from having 15 chapters overall to 12, I had to write down the new order and where the merges were before I changed it all on word.

I've done no writing today. We spent 2-3 hours Christmas shopping, and I used my spoons on that. I'm also having trouble typing because I sliced one of my index fingers. I touch type, normally, and right now, I'm working around it, but it's frustrating.

Today I submitted my Big Bang entry (due tomorrow). It's 237,633 words and it's DONE! I can't tell you how many times I've lurked around the edges of this comm for support. Thanks, y'all!
