Hi everyone, hope today is good for you :)
Really early today, I have got a ton of stuff to do in RL and I'll likely forget to do this if I wait until later on.
Discussion topic: advice. What has been the best piece(s) of advice you've been given? Any bad/unhelpful piece(s) of advice?
It doesn't have to be writing or fandom related, it can be life advice, anything is fair game really.

Date: Thursday, January 10th, 2013 20:30 (UTC)I finished my police application for Grampian today and am a little over 3/4 done with the final version of it. The hardest job application I have ever done, any future job applications will be a piece of cake.
The plan for the next couple of hours is to stay awake long enough to edit and add at least 1 chapter to the public post with the first draft of Twice Unjust (here), and maybe work on a one-shot for a prompt challenge.

Date: Friday, January 11th, 2013 01:06 (UTC)Best advice: If things are going along just swimmingly, but suddenly you can't write any further, it's because you told a lie somewhere along the line. I take the phrase "told a lie" to mean, wrote something that wasn't true to the story or the character(s). Going back and making corrections in the place where that happens really helps me move forward with a story.
