I finished the rough draft of one story. I'd hoped to write more than one story, but this one turned out to be longer than I expected. Now, I just need to find a beta reader who can help me iron out the issues with this story.

I did, just today, get about three thousand words on a chapter of my WIP, so I'm feeling accomplished. I suppose I could have started a new story, but I thought I'd do that tomorrow.

I was too busy to write today. I'm looking forward to a long weekend which starts tomorrow evening, and I hope to get back into a writing routine with some free time to help me along. I only accomplished one of my goals for the month, but that has me feeling pretty satisfied. It was a busier month than I expected, so I'm happy I got one story written and posted!

In addition to finishing something, I added to the research on a couple of other things that I'll be trying to finish up/make progress on next month.

When I signed up, my intention was to bring the story I was working on at least to its climactic scene. However, it became clear to me that that story just wasn't going to work--too many things going on, too much need for handwaving away canon issues, and really not my type of story to begin with.

I laid it aside and began work on another idea that I'd been kicking around for a while. I've made good progress and I'm pleased with what I've written. The daily post asking about what we've done makes me go write a little something (guilt = motivation, yes?), so even if I haven't written by intention, this comm inspires me to do *something* every day.

I met my goals for the month and and I'm fairly happy with that. With doing so I finished the first draft of my fic, and started editing it. Also got a difficult sex scene written although I need to make a couple of minor changes to it as the scenes before and after are quite heavy on the angst.

Might have to change my goal for Feb.

My first draft is around 17.5K words now and 4K of these have been added since I started editing.
