WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 18 -- Monday

Greetings on Monday!  It's cold where I am and the sky can't decide if it's going to drop rain or snow -- a dreary way to start the week!  Hope it's nicer where you are!

What kind of a writing day has it been today?

I wrote! Not today, as yet, but yesterday. Admittedly, it was a reworking of something already written in a different style, but it felt like new writing because it took some effort to make it presentable. I'll be posting it here and there later today, after I've looked at it again with fresh eyes. I also did some editing on another piece.

The weather doesn't affect me too much, because I don't have to look at it if it's dreary and depressing! However, sometimes it sets the tone for the day and that mood can have an effect on the ability to get started, I think. Once I'm writing, I don't pay attention what's going on outside or the time or anything. ;-)

I've got family visiting. No writing for me! But we're doing fun stuff, so it is like research for life. :)

I posted another chapter of my fic this morning, and updated the master post for it. Only have 5 chapters left to post. I'm going to edit 1 or 2 chapters tonight, then I can get them ready for posting in the next couple of days.

At the moment I'm considering a sequel to the fic I've been posting because the final scene allows me a little leeway for continuing.

When the sun is out I can't get anything done (because I try to avoid sun) but rain and snow are inspiring in their own way. Started snowing here earlier.

I've been fiddling around online and listening to music while pondering my fic. I'm stuck because two characters need to talk to each but don't want to. I think I've figured out what will get them talking. I just have to make it work.

I'm letting the previous chapter sit for a few days. I need to proofread it and to insert more character actions and descriptions. Right now, I can't tell what needs changing and can't be sure when I'm actually done tweaking.

I don't find that the weather outside affects my ability to write. I tend to be indoors with the curtains drawn, so I often don't know what the weather is like.
