Hi everyone,
lilly_c with you for check ins this week. How is the day treating you?
I'm getting some editing on chapter 10 done today but I need a break from it soon because Karen and Matt are being a wee bit stubborn just now.
Discussion topic: introduce yourself. Because we have new members I thought it'd be good to share a little about ourselves, of course only share what you're comfortable with.
I'm Cat and these days Scotland is home, it has been since 2009. I work two jobs, one is at a care home for the elderly and one is at the local football ground on match days. I'm also studying joint honours Psychology and Sociology at Aberdeen Uni and I want to be a Forensic Psychologist once I have all of my qualifications. Unplanned days out in Glasgow are my favourites. There is more I could say here but won't.

Date: Sunday, April 14th, 2013 20:02 (UTC)I go by Lin, and I live and work in Chicago (except when I'm taking a break from the big city in Wisconsin). I'm in the somewhat-over-fifty age bracket, with a hubby and a grown son. My training is in library science (I love research!!) but my current work involves teaching English as a second language.

Date: Sunday, April 14th, 2013 21:10 (UTC)Anyway I go by Jaq (pronounced like Jack). I'm, hmm. I'm multifannish, I'll ship just about anything, I participate in fandoms mostly by reading fic and squeeing a lot at gifsets on Tumblr. I do also sometimes write fic, which I have been doing ever since my very first fic in about the fourth grade in which my stepsister and I went adventuring in an epic crossover of a lot of video games and children's television worlds. My writing style hasn't actually evolved since then - I basically write things that I like - which is why I write so infrequently. I'd like to write more though, and write better, which is why I'm here! :3

Date: Monday, April 15th, 2013 13:52 (UTC)Born and raised in Winnipeg, Canada, where I currently live with my husband of seventeen years (we're both freelance commercial artists) and an elderly little cat named Emmie. I have an Honours degree in English (with a minor in Philosophy), yet I ended up colouring comic books for a living. Sometimes life works out in mysterious ways. :)
Writing fan fiction is my main hobby, and I try to produce at least 1000 words each day during my morning writing session.
