Greetings on Tuesday! How are you making use of your time today for writing?

How do you feel when you discover someone else has written a story/idea/plot twist that is similar to one you thought of and are particularly proud of? How do you deal with it after you discover it -- do you press on or change your writing plan?
- I thought about my fic once or twice
- I wrote
- I did some planning and/or research
- I edited
- I've sent my fic off to my beta
- I posted today!
- I'm taking a break
- I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Date: Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013 14:48 (UTC)I have had the experience several times of discovering a fic where someone wrote an plot point similar to mine, which I thought was so original. At first I panicked, but I eventually decided it didn't matter what someone else wrote and decided to let my own ideas rule my writing and not someone else's story!
