Today's discussion question: When you write more than one story about the same character, do you find yourself writing different versions of the character or does your interpretation stay the same from story to story?
I tend to have different versions of each character to some extent. There are things that remain consistent, but I tend to think of the characters as attached to a particular story. Yohji in Rheotaxis is different from Yohji in Snare and from Yohji in Torsion.

Date: Sunday, July 7th, 2013 23:04 (UTC)(And I haven't written any fic for ages but came across a wickedly funny prompt that begged for a fic, so managed to write something just under 500 words. Now, if only I can produce more, regularly, I will be one happy ficcer. :D )

Date: Monday, July 8th, 2013 00:13 (UTC)My characters tend to be the same version in all the different stories I write that include them. In a sense, they are all stories that are part of the same time line, so they all fit together. Sometimes, though, I write tales that are deliberately out of the usual time line, and that's when my characters can look a bit different in their personalities.
