Today's discussion topic: Do you use rewards to help motivate you with writing? From as little as if I finish this scene/write 100 words, I'll go get a cup of tea/etc to I can only read/watch/do X if I finish this chapter/fic/plot?

I had minor surgery today but I wrote a little thing on my phone while I was waiting, not sure if I'll be using though because it passed off the boredom for a bit. I may open something later on but I'll see how I feel.

I've used rewards when I was younger, usually a cup of tea for finishing something but these days I tend not to bother and just crack on with whatever fic I've got on the go.

No. For me I'm perfectly capable of feeling like a terrible, lazy person on bad days, without needing to invent reasons to feel worse. It's not a very useful feeling. (Am sensitive about how much I accomplish for personal reasons, not questioning the practice in general. But it has led to me being very philosophical about the daily wordcount.)
