Hello, writers all! Another Monday has come upon my part of the world, beginning the second week of the challenge. How's it going so far? Are you hoping to keep up momentum from last week? Or are you making a fresh start this week?

I wrote I wrote! First draft of a comment fic for yuri_challenge. It's rubbish, of course, but there might be something there that can be edited out.

Also I had another read of the draft of my ridiculous squishy Natsume Yuujinchou fic, &... I don't hate it. It's worth still working on. Hooray! Though am having major "zomg is x, y, & z in character?" worries. It doesn't count as procrastinating if I am hurrying up to catch up w/the manga to absorb as much canon characterization as possible, I'm sure, hahaha...

Yay for writing!! And hey, a first draft is a first draft -- they're never perfect, and you've at least got something to work with. Hooray!

Nope, canon characterization research is a totally legitimate non-procrastination. Alleviating characterization worries is still progress. :D

Not having much luck fic-writing today at all, sad to say, but I've done some real world writing and editing that's been sitting on my desktop for a while! So maybe with that out of the way, my creative brain can come back...

That's where I'm at, stuck doing real world writing and editing. I'm hoping to get it out of the way in the next day or two, and then I'll be free to concentrate on the fun, creative stuff!

Yay, hopefully your creative brain has been churning away subconsciously while you gave it a rest (that's how I'll think of it ;) doing real world writing/editing!
