I double-checked and it appears sff.net have discontinued their IRC services. If we want to keep using IRC for writing sessions, there must be another server we can use.

We went through this a few months ago. There were a couple of posts about it. The new home for our IRC chat is irc.slashnet.org. At least, it was the last time I visited. I don't think anybody'd have changed it without announcing it to the community.
