WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 29 -- Thursday

It's Thursday, and time for another check-in post.  How is it going today?

For Discussion:  As a writer, do you include a lot of details in your writing?  What kind of details do you favor?  Scenery?  Physical descriptions of your characters?  Sounds, colors or expressions?

I'm thinking about my fic today, but so far haven't made any moves to do anything constructive yet. I have a project that has to be worked on before I can think of doing anything else, so I'm praying there will still be time left in the day to make some real writing progress.

I like to include a lot of details, but I don't describe everything. I'm usually not one to describe my characters physically -- I think I maybe did it once. What I pour myself into is setting, scenery, and any sounds or colors or description that helps a reader visualize the scene.

I'm quite happy that I posted 'The Princess Warrior' today and finished my Summer Mini Challenge prompts table with that fic. I'm going to get some work done on a very rough draft of the flashback chapter for my kids big bang tonight because I have a more complete idea of how I want that to pan out.
