Discussion: posting fic. When you're ready to post a new fic, do you post it to one place or do you post it to several places?

I tend to mainly use DW these days because I’m used to the posting page and having the option to share publicly or with just my f-list, it's also easier for me to link back to. I sometimes post to AO3 and FF.net and I used to post to LJ all the time but I hate it now.

I post to AO3 and to my own website. I never got into using DW or LJ for posting fic. It just seemed too easy to lose track of fic that way, and most of the people reading my journal aren't interested in my fic. I know that, with proper cut tagging, posting a fic wouldn't take up any more space on people's reading lists than a post announcing that I've posted fic elsewhere does, but I somehow don't feel right doing it.

I post to DW, which automatically crossposts to LJ for me, and to AO3. One of these months, I will actually catch my site back up, but that's going to take a couple weeks, I'm so far behind!

I used to post to LJ/Dw, and then migrated to Dw/AO3, but am now really just posting to AO3, with a story header post on Dw/LJ with a link to AO3. I hated posting to LJ too- the size limit was so annoying!

It depends what I'm writing. Fills go on their respective memes (and rarely elsewhere), prompt responses first on Tumblr, and eventually on AO3 with the major fic.

(Today went well, even if I didn't work on any of my serious WIPs.)

I'm not getting anything written. Dealing with life is taking up all my time, no end in sight. *sigh* Maybe things will improve on the weekend.

I post to several archives for my main fandom and DW which crossposts to LJ. I also post to Ao3 and LJ fandom-related communities.
