It's finally Friday! The weekend is in sight, and, judging by some of your comments this week, it can't come too soon. It sounds like there's been a good deal of real life intrusion into fic writing this week (mine included), so hopefully this weekend will be a chance to escape all that.

But that's tomorrow. How's the writing going today?

Yerrrrgh nothing today, I suspect. By Friday night I'm generally too knackered from work to have the brain to write, blah.

Though on the bus to & from work I had some thoughts about how to revise some tricky bits in my WIP. Maybe I can implement them during the writing session tomorrow!

I should add that, as I was getting ready for bed last night, I suddenly thought of a couple of things to change in my WIP that would work better--it felt really lovely to know that my brain had been mulling over the problem! So I made some hasty changes & in the process racked up 92 words of fic. (Small but pleasing!)

So all hail the power of rest days (from writing fic) to keep the brain moving. As long as the rest days don't outnumber the fic-writing days, I suppose!

I finished the assigned fic I need to write and is slowly editting my fic. It would be a challenge because I probably need to write in at least two styles.

Finishing is still a fantastic thing! Congrats, and good luck with editing -- especially in multiple styles.

Today was impossible, and tomorrow will be more of the same, but I have high hopes for Sunday! It will be such a blessing to write and edit some fiction for a change -- though I have to say, I've been keeping my hand in with writing and editing my RL stuff. Hopefully my writing brain won't say "Enough!" come Sunday, and shut down. ;-)

I'm glad there's an end in sight! Hopefully your fic will be enough of a change from RL that your writing brain won't feel too taxed. (It's an awful feeling, isn't it, finally having the time to write, but suffering from a dearth of energy.)
