Sorry I missed yesterday folks, life was rather hectic and I forgot.
How is today going for you?
Discussion: unused prompts. When you sign up for prompt challenges, do you save the ones you didn't use? Do you try to use them after the challenge has finished?
I have quite a lot of unused prompts from various challenges that I’ve signed up for over the years and I have saved them because the inspiration for a fill may strike me after the challenge is over. I also find that an unused prompt can kick start the muse especially when I’m feeling stuck with something that I’ve been working on.

Date: Tuesday, November 5th, 2013 13:43 (UTC)Of course, I've only been up about fifty minutes. I don't know how the rest of the day will really go. It didn't start auspiciously. I set my alarm for eight because the sewer guys said they'd be here at eight-thirty. The electrician was banging on the door at ten to eight. My brain is still catching up.
I do tend to keep old prompts. I have a document where I list prompts and story ideas that I haven't tried starting yet. Every so often, when the document starts to get unwieldy, I go through and delete the ones I know I'm never going to write.

I save a lot of stuff I don't actually end up writing, but I like to play with it and do research for them, even if it doesn't amount to anything concrete. It's good exercise for the Muse.
