So sorry for missing the last couple of days, I have no idea where my head has been at.
How has your writing been for the last couple of days?
Today's discussion topic: Do you like to write AU's, whether a big variation or not? Is there a particular reason you don/don't?

Date: Thursday, November 28th, 2013 03:53 (UTC)I've written plenty of stories that diverge from canon, rather than being AU. Where somewhere in the middle of the canon timeline of events one character decides to go left instead of right and how events unfold differently because of that alternate choice.

Date: Thursday, November 28th, 2013 07:48 (UTC)Most of the time, I only like those AUs where there are just small changes, to explore "what if"s, to make and idea work, or to fit additional scenes into the canon timeline. I've written a couple of those. My current crossover has some of that as well because there's a bit of cheating/handwaving necessary to bring the two groups of characters together. Complete AUs normally leave me cold.
