Discussion: 2014. I know that the year is long and that life and writers block happen. What are you looking forward to working on? It doesn't have to be something that will take all year, it could be something for this week or for the month. Anything goes.

I signed up for a year long large word count writing challenge which is something that I haven't done before so I’m looking forward to giving it good go and I'm also planning on getting through as many of my unused prompts that have accumulated over the years as I can. Too many unused prompts can be a bad thing.

I'm also looking forward to posting It Feels Like Home To Me for kidficstory big bang next month because it will be the first time that I’ve managed to finish a big bang challenge.

Although both fics are only provisionally outlined I'm hoping to get a decent start made on the chaptered Let Go and Pretend Our Troubles Make Us Happy that have been lingering for a while. They're for the same fandom, so keeping in line with canon and my own time lines should be interesting.

From what's been officially announced right now: kidficstory, trope_bingo, Ship Swap and the Porn Battle.

My resolution is to not sign up for every big bang and exchange out there. So far, so good: I didn't sign up for at least one exchange last year that, in hindsight, would've drove me mad. I would've had to start writing it after this exchange I'm still working on and kidficstory.

Primary goal is to finish (or at least, come close to finishing) my Batfic, Unrehearsable. At this point, I think there's going to have to be a fifth installment in the AU. I've made too big a deal over one subplot to tie it up in a neat bow in the current fic. It needs more space.

I'm hoping to write more Daredevil, and maybe finish one of the few fics I ran out of steam on back in 2010.

I am hoping to finish up several short fics for prompts I signed up for last year but didn't finish -- my goal is to do them this month as part of a a potluck challenge that is for tying up loose ends such as unfinished fics or unclaimed prompts. I've also signed up for a fundraiser challenge that is due by the end of the month -- no ideas yet for the story, but I'll probably do some brainstorming on that later today.

My other plans for the year include getting back on track with my neglected WIPs. I have one that could be finished with just a chapter or two more (Dreaming New Dreams), so that's a high priority. I have another (Face of the Enemy) that has not been touched in about 5 years. I have to figure out how to get past a block I have about writing a battle, and then I should be able to move forward. My main epic (Lords of Gondor) is moving along at about a chapter or two a year, so I want to do better than that from now on. And last, but not least, I am reworking my first multi-chapter fic to fix some problems with the timeline and to add some more details so it ties in better with my other works that are related to it. I want to get the first few chapters ready and posted. This story was first written about 12 years ago, and posted on a very limited basis, so this will actually be like posting a new story in many ways.
