Discussion: challenges. Apart from this challenge, are there any challenges you're looking forward to participating in?

I'll be signing up for this month's round of prompt_in_a_box and the prompts I’ve had in the past for this challenge have been quite interesting to work with, hopefully whatever my chosen and presently unknown prompts for the current round will be just as interesting when I receive them on Sunday. The community is the only thing that I keep my LJ account active for.

In June I'll be doing luxken27's annual Summer Mini Challenge again because it is low key, low pressure and I've had a ball the last two years that I’ve done the challenge. In 2012 I managed to write for 3 of the 5 prompts on my chosen table and I was pleased with what I managed even though I had a broken wrist at the time that I signed up for it and in 2013 I wrote for all 5 prompts on my chosen table which I wasn't expecting to do but I am pleased that I finished a challenge while it was still ongoing.

My beta reader demolished my WIP and it's looking better and better. I've been working on it most of the day and I think it will be ready to post, soon.

I have so many challenges on my plate. I like to try and combine them for better results. In November I posted an exchange fic using a prompt from trope_bingo I might try for another round of that. I also signed up for genprompt_bingo, which is much more low-stress, and the prompts I got are great. I'm also looking at the dark OTP meme, but I doubt I'll complete 30 days.

I haven't done any writing as yet, but I'm getting ready for it by organizing and planning for the challenges and WIPs I'll be concentrating on in the coming weeks. I've also started a wee bit of research on a new one-shot.

I am involved in the LotR Community which is a monthly challenge that I usually participate in. This month I've committed myself to finishing up several challenge stories I couldn't manage last year. I also just joined the Fandom Snowflake Challenge for the first time, so we'll see how that goes. It seems to be a nice low pressure way to kick off the new year of writing! Also, in previous years, I've been part of the Finish-a-thon at Multific; it didn't happen last year, but I'm hoping something like it will take place this year.

Wrote over 1k, both outline and actual words for a shorter fanfic, so far this year is starting out good.
