Do you have a specific place where you like to write? What about it works for you?

I mostly work in the living room, on my laptop at a small table that's just the right height for me to type properly. I used to work down in the basement, and, though it was a lot colder, I liked that better. There were fewer distractions. When I work in the living room, I have a hard time working if my daughter or my husband is around. They're too distracting. Unfortunately, the basement is a mess, and the work space I used to use is piled high with junk that I need to sort through and find homes for.

I work in my bedroom. But today is "I'm in a cleaning mood" and I'm tackling my shower (mold and mildew) and the floor (dirty) and my daughter is tackling the living room since I bought the cubby hole thing she wants to put the new tv on that I bought at Christmas that will hold her game stations and games in and look all organized. So hence, I'm staring at about 15 comment fic that I pulled off from the January list to try to write to. Will it happen sometime today .. I have no idea.

Since I left my writing notes at home for this weekend away, I have been working at editing and posting already written stories to the archives where I share them. I have quite a backlog of stories to post so this is keeping me pretty busy!

I usually write in the room that has been designated an office in our apartment, where I have my computer set up. It's a good place, because it is away from the TV and is pretty quiet. I'm not disturbed there and I don't disturb my hubby when I am working later into the night with the light on.
