What's your favorite trick for getting yourself to start writing?
I don't really have any tricks. The closest I get is telling myself that I only have to write one sentence. Having permission to stop can sometimes make it easier for me to keep going.
I'm really curious to hear what works for other people.

Date: Wednesday, February 5th, 2014 15:56 (UTC)ETA: As far as actually getting started, I find that it's easiest to take my notebook and pen somewhere outside the house, and leave my cellphone and tablet at home so that I can't hop on the internet and waste time. If I'm out of the house, then there's far fewer ways to vacuum the cat.

Date: Wednesday, February 5th, 2014 16:16 (UTC)I did some writing this morning before I had to leave to do some training at work, and now I'm about to carry on with the oneshot I was working on earlier. Hopefully I can finish and maybe post later on tonight.
