WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 23 -- Sunday

Greetings at the beginning of a new week, the last week of our February WIP Challenge month! linaewen here to help encourage you and provide you with a setting to talk about your writing as we finish up the month and start a new one.

What kind of a writing day has it been today?

• I thought about my fic once or twice

• I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

For Discussion:  I read a blog where someone gave advice about writing, suggesting it is good to read your fic aloud as part of the editing process.  Do you ever read your fic aloud -- to yourself or to anyone else?

I've been toying with writing the last few days, but haven't actually managed any -- however, I did get a lot of nasty boring projects finished up, and that will clear the way for more writing time eventually!  As for the discussion, I do not read my fic aloud.  I do tend to kind of read it to myself in my head to make sure my sentences aren't too cumbersome, but that's not exactly the same.  I have a writer friend who swears by reading aloud, but I haven't tried it yet.

I finished my next chapter and posted it today!

I do not read my fics aloud, however I do go over them very carefully in my head (with the mentality of reading as if I were reading it aloud) as a big part of my editing process.
