WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 1 -- Saturday

It's Saturday -- and it's also the first day of a new writing month!  How is it going for you today as you start working towards your March goals -- or finish up those writing projects you were working on in February?

Today is also our day for general chatting/snippet-posting/beta-seeking activities. Do you have a snippet you'd like to share? Do you have a question that needs answering? Do you need help with something that's giving you trouble?  Do you need a place to vent and complain? Leave a comment & we'll see what we can do to help you!

Today is an unsettled day for me, as I am in the midst of traveling.  However, I have a deadline approaching so I am definitely going to carve out some writing time today, no matter what else happens!  Since I couldn't get out of the research/outlining stage yesterday, I have nothing interesting to share as a snippet.  As for my goals, I do have one February project that I need to play catch-up with, and a couple of short stories due by mid-March -- but my main project is to finish one of my WIPs.  It's totally doable --if I stop procrastinating!

I made some of my February goals but not all of them. I posted my fic for kidficstory big bang and wrote some prompt fills that I still need to post. I didn't do anything with my casestory big bang that's down to the various crime/investigation ideas not working.

Today I posted my new article for SIAD and I'm pleased with it, it's set to public so I won't link. I'd like to get some, if not all, of the prompt fills from last month posted over the weekend. At the moment my plan for March involves outlining and hopefully starting my fic for queer_bigbang, same with casestory if I can get an idea to work for it that is but I might have to drop it if I can't. More prompt fills too because I have far too many unused prompts.

Oh, my February goals. :( I made the predictable error of taking on too many projects and working on too many things simultaneously. I didn't get a bingo on my genprompt_bingo card (and the next round is up already) and I didn't complete my dragonagebb rough draft. In fact, I'm barely a fifth of the way through.

The community accountability did help me a lot, though.

Still working on shipswap and some trope_bingo squares. Some day will get to casestory. Somewhat stalled on shipswap, but I'm working my way around what's stalling me.

Working on who_daily will be a bit of a distraction, since I'm a bit busier than I thought I'd be today. And some sporting events might stall me too. But I think I can make some progress on at least shipswap today.
