What's the most obscure canon you've ever written? What's the most widely known?
I've written for Yuletide for about seven years now, so I've written some obscure things. I suspect that the most obscure was But We Are Not of Earth by Jean Karl. I think my story is the only one for the fandom at AO3. Pity it's not a very good story (I was very sick the last two weeks before the story was due and kind of lost track of what I wanted to do with the story).
The most widely known fandom I've written is probably Harry Potter. I did it for Remix one year, and I have a couple of crossovers that include it. After that, it's probably Naruto which I also wrote (twice) for Remix. I don't tend to gravitate to the big fandoms unless something prompts me to go there.

Date: Monday, March 10th, 2014 17:40 (UTC)I really only write for two fandoms currently -- one is obscure and one is well-known. The obscure fandom is Major, a baseball anime/manga which I fell in love with some years ago. There are hardly any fics written in the fandom. I've had a lot of ideas for Naruto-based stories, but Major was the only one I felt serious enough about that I was willing to brave the unknown and post something in the fandom. This story is the one that is almost finished, though it's been dormant for several years.
The widely known fandom I write in is Tolkien's universe (Lord of the Rings/Hobbit/Silmarillion/etc.). It's the one that got me into writing in the first place, and it's big enough that there are never any end to the stories that can be written.
Once I finish my Major fic, I may try my hand at some Naruto fic, so as to keep from being a one-fandom writer. However, I have several LotR WIPs going so I should probably work at finishing those before I start something new!

Date: Monday, March 10th, 2014 17:55 (UTC)My most obscure canon is Killer Instinct because I was on my own in that fandom, Taggart is quite obscure too in that most of the fic on AO3 is mine and my most widely known canons are X-Files, Star Trek and Stargate SG1. Although I've been involved with fandoms of all sizes over the years I prefer the smaller ones because there are a lot more stories to tell.
