Do you write original fiction? If so, what do you find different about original fiction versus fan fiction?
I haven't written any original fiction in years, decades even. I'd been pretty much blocked for years when I first started writing fic. I could write LARP scenarios but nothing else, so that's pretty much what I have to compare fic writing to. LARP writing is more fragmented, and it teaches one to see a story from many different points of view (each character gets a short story) and to balance things so that everybody has something to do. A LARP will break if it all hinges on one character or if there are characters with very little to do.
