Hello on Tuesday!  What kind of a writing day has it been today?
  • I thought about my fic once or twice
  • I wrote
  • I did some planning and/or research
  • I edited
  • I've sent my fic off to my beta
  • I posted today!
  • I'm taking a break
  • I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment
For Discussion:  How much does your family know about your writing?  Do they share your interests?  Are they supportive?

Tuesdays are my crazy days during the week, so I suspect I won't have any time for writing today.  As for the discussion topic, I share extensively with my son about my writing projects -- he is one person I can discuss my ideas with, and I've had him beta my work from time to time.  My son also writes, so it's great to be able to collaborate with him.  My hubby knows I'm writing and has read one or two things, but my subject matter doesn't really interest him, so that's as far as that goes.  He's still supportive, though!

My husband knows that I write fic and is generally supportive. He's even beta read for me a few times (only for some fandoms and only if there's no sex). He knows I'm happier when I'm writing.

My ten year old daughter knows I write but doesn't really get what fanfic is. She's decidedly not interested in what I write because, as her mother, I'm boring and definitely not cool. I kind of hope she starts writing some day. She's not interested so far, but at that age, I wasn't interested either.

I did other things. My fic idea was falling apart.

I don't tell anyone I know I write fic.

My family knows I write fic and one of my sisters has even read one or two of them but they all mostly leave me alone about it. =/ I tried to share one of my original fics with them a few months ago but no one was really interested.

My family doesn't tend to care much for my interests generally because they're usually so different then theirs. =p Until they stumble upon something on their own and then they're cool with it. But I doubt my writing will ever be one of those things.

I've spent most of the day applying for jobs and doing final edits on a couple of one shots. I did post yesterday and I'm aiming to post at least one new fic tonight, then to post gradually as the week goes on as I have somehow accumulated a lot of unposted fic.

My family know that I write fic and generally they aren't too bothered about reading it, they're about as supportive as they can be given that fandom activities aren't their thing.

I did some research and some writing today, but not a lot of writing.

I've told people I write, and some have read my original stuff, but I don't share my fanfiction with family because they probably wouldn't understand. Are they supportive? Ehh, they're not unsupportive... I think the only person who cares is my mom. :P My dad, a little.
