Greetings on Friday! What kind of a writing day has it been today?
I have some unexpected time off today, so I'm hoping to use it for canon research for starters, then hopefully some writing! As for where I post my fic, I started out posting in a fandom-based community thread, as well as on LJ (and to some extent DW). Eventually, I moved to posting in fandom-based archives (I post to several of these) -- these are the main places I post and archive my stories. I have two stories at Fanfiction.net and I am working at getting my longer stories up at Ao3.
- I thought about my fic once or twice
- I wrote
- I did some planning and/or research
- I edited
- I've sent my fic off to my beta
- I posted today!
- I'm taking a break
- I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Date: Friday, March 28th, 2014 13:55 (UTC)Oh, I do have stories in the old Yuletide archive if that counts. Heaven knows what sort of hoops I'm going to have to jump through when they import that archive to AO3. I'll have about ten duplicate stories that will need to dealt with.

Date: Friday, March 28th, 2014 14:40 (UTC)I used to post to LJ and when I was involved with X-Files and SG1 fandoms I posted to forums that no longer exist. These days I mainly post to DW and have a personal/closed community just for posting fic and art, and I cross-post some things to AO3. I wasn't at all impressed with fanfiction.net when I experimented with posting there last year because there was too many things I disliked about the site and I'd love to be able to delete my account there but I haven't found any information for that.

Date: Friday, March 28th, 2014 17:03 (UTC)I used to post to FF.net and AO3, but now I only post exclusively to AO3. Since my fandoms are so obscure, you'd think FFn would be a good choice for posting since it's probably the most popular, but I like the way AO3 does things, and anyone doing a Google search for fic in my fandoms will find my stuff in the top results.
