We all have characters we prefer and characters who give us trouble. Who are some of yours?

I really like writing Yohji in Weiss Kreuz. Stories from his point of view seem to flow better for me. On the other hand, I have real difficulty writing Farfarello (also from Weiss Kreuz). Up until a few months ago, I'd have said that I couldn't write him at all, but I put him in a fic I wrote last October/November, and I think I did okay with him. I'm still unlikely to focus a fic on him, but I can have him turn up from time to time now.

When I was writing my first Orphan Black fics earlier this spring, Rachel's voice came almost too easily, whereas Alison and Beth were both a struggle. With Beth, I know that it's because there's very little canon about her. Alison, however, is just a character type that I struggle with. She comes off loud and clear in every canon scene she's in, but her way of dealing with problems is not one I have a lot of experience with.

Rose Lalonde was the character that came easiest to me when I was still writing Homestuck fanfic. I could think of a few others, probably, but not out of the fandoms that I'm still very active in...

mostly I wrote. I wound up writing after I cleared my session log for the day which was just shy of 6000 words.

I also outlined and watched episodes of the show to help me with outlining and dialogue.

this story is only told from Dean's point of view, and sometimes I wish that I could switch, but no other PoV for the story is at all viable. i find myself wondering what it would be like to write from sam's PoV rather than observing him.

saturdays are very productive writing days for me, i'm glad I had such a good day today.
