Discussion: Software. Do you have writing program that you use all the time?

I use LibreOffice for nearly all of my writing and I have a specific background colour and font combination that makes reading and editing easier and also saves on the printing. It also works quite well with TextHelp, the assitive technology package that I have to use. For making and reading text files I use Jarte becauase I can change the background colour.

I prefer Word, but sometimes, if I'm on my iPad, I'll use Editorial, a rich text/Markup app that I can type in.

I took notes as I rewatched a bunch of episodes under the name of research, and it really helped me get back into the right frame of mind for writing. I also got a couple of fresh ideas for the remaining chapters in the fic I'm trying to finish up. The goal will be to not let the Real World interfere, now, so that I can write while things stay fresh in my mind!

I use Jarte all the time. One of the main reasons I like it is because I can change the background color. I also love having my different documents open in tabs. It has all the editing features I like, and meshes with Word when necessary.

The last couple days has me swinging back and forth between excitement over a plot bunny and being bummed over not knowing how to actually write it. :\

I use Scrivener almost exclusively these days. I absolutely love how I can have everything all in one place... it makes working on various projects so much easier and my writing folders much neater too.
